Volunteer With Us
Generation Hope volunteers are caring individuals from all kinds of backgrounds who are passionate about helping more young parents become college graduates.
There are many ways to get involved as an individual or a group, on a short-term or long-term basis, in DC, New Orleans, or virtually. Make a difference in the life of a teen parent and their child by volunteering today.
Current Volunteer Needs
Tutoring
We're looking for individuals who have experience and expertise in the following areas to serve as tutors for our Scholars: English, Math, Science, History/Government, and Languages. We are also looking for individuals with education experience who can tutor our Scholars’ little ones (elementary and middle school age) in core subjects. Sign up here.
Time Commitment: As needed based on the needs of Scholars and children.
Location: Virtual
Individualized Career Support
We’re looking for volunteers who have the skill sets to provide career support to our Scholars and Alumni, specifically in the areas of: resume development, networking, cover letter writing, interviewing, and apply for jobs. If you’re interested in exploring this opportunity, please sign up here!
Time Commitment: An ad hoc opportunity based on the needs of our Scholars and Alumni.

Volunteer in Childcare
We're looking for caring individuals and groups to help spend time with our Scholars' little ones during Generation Hope events. Our childcare volunteers, known as the Hope Corps, are crucial to the success of our programming by providing fun, educational childcare for our Scholar's children during our workshops and trainings. Time Commitment: Three events per year, with shifts of 2-3 hours each.
Location: DC and New Orleans areas
Mentoring
We are now recruiting the largest DC Scholar class in Generation Hope’s history, as well as our first New Orleans class of Scholars, which means we will need many caring individuals to serve as their mentors.
