Next Generation Academy Impact Report
In 2018 Generation Hope launched our early childhood program pilot, Next Generation Academy, to further cement our commitment to being a two-generation model for young families to experience economic mobility. Our three-year pilot has not only proven that it is possible for organizations to adopt this programming, but also that it is possible to achieve impressive outcomes for families. Through Next Generation Academy, we have increased parents’ knowledge of their children’s development, assisted them in utilizing positive parenting practices, and impacted school-readiness levels for pre-kindergarten children.
This report aims to help community, education, and philanthropic leaders further understand Next Generation Academy services, our lessons learned, and the outcomes produced over the last three years. This report would not be possible without the important contributions of Scholars and their children and the Resource Families (group mentors), who shared their time and talents to ensure the program was a success.
