Grace is inspired by Nicole Lynn Lewis’ story and enjoys working closely with Nicole to support the mission of a two-generation solution to poverty. Grace is also grateful for Generation Hope’s demonstrated ability to promote racial equity in their programming as a part of their core values. Before coming to Generation Hope, Grace worked for Liberty University athletics, supporting student-athletes in the women’s basketball program by providing them with resources and support to help them succeed on and off the court. While at Liberty, she earned her masters in Public Administration with a cognate in Public and Nonprofit Management. She loves the nonprofit world, and specifically community-based nonprofits. Grace graduated with a degree in Political Science from Virginia Tech. In her free time, Grace enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially at basketball games, running, and visiting zoos across the country.
Quote:
“I believe the greatest gift you can give your family and the world is a healthy you.” – Joyce Meyer
Why I chose this quote:
This quote reminds me of the importance of self-care. It helps me to remember to do things that are healthy for me in order to help me to thrive as a human, and better impact the lives of those around me. It makes me so glad that Generation Hope sees the collective and individual needs of our Scholars and helps them be their best selves for their own sake, but also for the sake of their families and their world impact.
