EmpowerED Dads: Amplifying Voices, Advancing Higher Education for Student Fathers
We are proud to announce the release of our latest report "EmpowerED Dads: Amplifying Voices, Advancing Higher Education for Student Fathers," which uncovers the unique experiences of student fathers pursuing higher education. Student fathers have a lot to say about their experiences and what empowers them, and we listened.
Fathers’ paths to graduation include caregiving, working, and overcoming the stereotype of not being actively involved in their children’s lives. This report aims to change that narrative by highlighting their voices and advocating for the support they need to succeed.

Major findings:
Overcoming Stigma and Redefining Gender Roles: Student fathers challenge societal norms and stereotypes by actively engaging in their children's lives, and we advocate for greater recognition of fathers' contributions to parenting.
Emotional Connection and Leadership: Fathers view their role as deeply emotional and integral to their children's upbringing, emphasizing the importance of leadership, guidance, and nurturing.
Balancing Responsibilities and Personal Growth: Student fathers face significant challenges in time management, balancing work, studies, and parenting. Despite these challenges, they experience personal growth and recognize the positive influence of their education on their children's lives.
Support Systems and Resources: Available support services often cater to mothers, leaving fathers under-supported. There's a need for tailored programs and resources to address the unique needs of student fathers.
